Workplace Ninja Summit 2022 in Switzerland, with Microsoft Security in centrum together with Microsoft MVP's.
Workplace Security Summit has 80+ Sessions (Level 300-500) for IT Pros and Architects.
It cores topics around the complete security stack of Microsoft + some more.
The Seminars are held by Microsoft and various MVPs from around the world.
Covered Topics
I had two primary purposes for going to a seminar like this. The primary one is to delve into different technologies and be inspired by some fantastic personalities, not only because of the content of the sessions but also because of how they present and show the areas.
The other is networking, as there are plenty of opportunities to share challenges and experiences.
This seminar contained everything I needed, and when I finished, I was well inspired to use the new knowledge to mature companies' security.
There were a lot of great sessions, and hard to say which was best, but based on my personal opinion, my top 2 was
AD-Tiering & PAW by Sami Laiho
If you haven't seen a session by Sami Laiho, please do it. He is a great speaker, entertaining, and knowledgeable.
His seminar regarding AD-Tiering and PAW gave me a lot to think about, and I will surely use it to reflect on and approach how to do AD-Tiering in a way that makes sense for customers in the SMB market.
This will indeed be used to assist and consult customers in our team.
SCEPman & RaaS
This one is fun to have in a top 2 because it is from vendor sessions, where I can get tired of hearing from vendors daily regarding their solutions, which are always the best in the market.
The difference is that they were already in my searchlight since we had already implemented it for some customers.
It is primarily because they handle a specific pain we see in many places: PKI in a Cloud-only environment.
After their sessions, I was convinced we should examine collaboration and the possibilities of turning it into a managed Service.
Summary
The whole event can only be recommended; it was well done with many participants, but it still feels intimate compared to others, like IGNITE.
For me, the most important thing was to feel that it was time to be and that you had something of value back home, which it fulfilled.
I will definitely go there again.
